Bertha

Internal Communications Co-coordinator

Hii! I’m Bertha(she/her) and I’m 16 years old. I lead the internal comms team and am an active member in creative and policy team at GEMA. Internal comms focuses on enhancing the teams and discussing any problems that may have an affect on the way a team works. Internal comms is basically a team that establishes a precedent in order for GEMA to thrive. Through my time here, I have met incredible people and seen the growth of GEMA and how far we have come. I am very excited to work on new projects and connect with more people!

Branden

JEDI Team Co-coordinator

Hi I’m Branden (he/him) and I’m 18 years old. In Green Era MA, I help lead the JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, & and Inclusivity) team, which mainly focuses on ensuring our organization is diverse in all ways possible, while maintaining a just environment to prevent any invalidation of anyone within the climate justice movement via educational trainings. As someone who lives within an environmentally at-risk community in MA, I’m glad to help and bring my experience of organizing in to help push for a cleaner and brighter future!

Casey

Policy Co-coordinator

Hi! I'm Casey (she/her) and I'm 16 years old. I co-coordinate the Policy team of Green Era MA. Climate change can only be fought through systematic action, which is why the Policy team focuses primarily on important legislation that helps further our cause. I'm so excited to work with this amazing community in our mission for climate justice!

Emily

Outreach Co-coordinator

Hey y’all! I’m Emily (she/her) and I am 14 years old. Ive been involved with Green Era MA since its creation and I co-lead the Outreach Team, and I also helped design our logo. In past organizations, I’ve led a regenerative culture team and a website building subgroup. I really appreciate the opportunity to work with such amazing people and help stop climate and social injustice!

Jeanette

Policy Co-coordinator

Hi everyone! I’m Jeanette (she/her), and I’m 15 years old. I am the Policy co-coordinator and a member of the creative and Internal Comms. teams in Green Era MA.  Within the policy team, we focus on taking legislative/political actions and educating others about policy-related topics - from the legislative process, to how to research House and Senate bills, to how to lobby bills - and much more! It has been great to work with policy team members to continue the fight for a just and cleaner Commonwealth.

Nida

Finance and Logistics Co-coordinator

Hi! I am Nida (she/her) and I am 15 years old. I coordinate the Finance and Logistics Team in Green Era MA and I recently joined the policy team. I am really looking forward to work and learn with the policy team. The F&L team has put together and hosted some really great events and I hope we continue to accomplish many more great things in future. I am really grateful for having the opportunity to work with such great people and be surrounded with people who are motivated to bring a positive change to many communities.

Nidhi

 JEDI Co-coordinator

Hiiii! I’m nidhi, I’m 13 years old, and i coordinate the JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, inclusion) team and am a member of the policy and internal communications teams at Green Era Massachusetts! As a JEDI coordinator i help the team work on making GEMA a better place for BIPOC and other marginalized groups, along with diversifying our organization! Working with GEMA has been an amazing experience because of the community i’ve found in our members and i’m very very excited to continue my work here :).

Orlee

Creative Team Co-coordinator

Hi! I’m Orlee (she/her) and I am 15 years old. In my role with Green Era MA, I lead the Creative Team and help manage the social media outlets. This has given me experience in directing interactive and educational projects that maximize audience engagement. I create graphic designs to post on social media and raise awareness about our cause. The Creative Team has hosted educational art builds, published content about the climate crisis, and increased team membership.

Tia

Outreach Co-coordinator

Hello! I'm Tia (she/her), and I'm 17 years old. I'm the co-coordinator of Green Era MA's Outreach team, and a member of the Creative team. I've also formerly led Tik-Tok, General Education, and Website subgroups within the organization. I'm passionate about climate justice and advocacy, as well as outreach and communications. I'm grateful to be a part of this amazing group and help to make positive change! 

Uma

Creative Co-coordinator

Hello! I'm Uma (she/her) and I am 14 years old. I lead the creative team and and am an active member of the policy team at Green Era MA. The creative team helps to manage our social media outlets, create graphics to raise awareness about our cause, and host various educational events. Through my time here, I have gained a lot of experience in directing and managing educational projects, social media management, and graphic design, as well as learning a lot about legislation and policy. I've loved working with Green Era MA so far and am very excited to continue pushing for a better and more sustainable future!
